about your wellNess retreat

  • Description text goes hereA wellness retreat is a refreshing getaway that offers you a place of refuge to focus on your overall physical and mental health. The retreat provides a supportive group of like-minded travelers who help you grow mentally and emotionally. It’s designed to pull you away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, giving you a chance to regroup in a fun, challenging, and exciting way.

  • This is the best part! Each retreat around the world or domestically has a theme. These themes all stem from a personal growth area in your life. Many of the activities and reflection conversations will tie into the overall retreat theme.

  • This is exactly why Project Passport would be perfect for you! What better way to step into your first time abroad than with a community of novice, moderate, or experienced travelers all looking to connect and have a great time?! You also have Sabriya, your trip facilitator, along with other experienced facilitators who are frequent travelers and are support you every step of the way. You are not in this alone.

  • We have a wonderful team of retreat leaders all uniquely trained to provide you dynamic experiences. See the team here.

  • Legally, counselors can only practice in the home state they are licensed in. However, people with counseling, mental health, and life coaching backgrounds are to assist in the development of the actual retreat activities and exercises. You will not travel with a practicing counselor.

travel logistics

  • Sure! We can help you make that happen with guidance and resources. However, when the Project Passport experience is over, please note that staff will no longer be at the location. Hannah is independently licensed to book travel and can assist you via: https://travelablevacations.com/agent/hannah-zaladonis/

  • It can be a several week process so you want to prepare ahead to either get or renew your passport. Remember that passports cannot expire usually within 6 months of the travel date. Visit here to get your passport in order: https://www.usa.gov/passport. Call us if you need further support!

  • We will usually not be staying at any destination long enough to require a visa. However, in the event a visa is required, you will be notified prior to booking. You are responsible for obtaining your own visa (unless otherwise indicated), but we are happy to assist you in the process.

  • Safety is our number one focus. We will be watching for any crime, unrest, dangerous weather conditions or travel bans for all travel destinations. We also suggest you register for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Plan (STEP) developed by the U.S. Consulate. Here is the link: https://step.state.gov/step/.

All retreat leaders will be up-to-date on CPR and First Aid training.

When it comes to Covid-19 and other disease outbreaks, we track them closely. If you are to come down with Covid prior to your travels, we ask that you let us know and arrange to quarantine, wear a mask, test, and cancel if required. Travel insurance is really important for instances like this to protect us and other travelers. We will work with you as best as we can.

If another unexpected world pandemic happens again, we will cancel everything for you free of charge and provide full refunds, no questions asked.

  • You will receive a list of recommended vaccines for your specified location after booking. You can also ask us prior if this is impacting your booking process. We recommend visiting the CDC for best practice vaccines here: https://www.cdc.gov/. We highly recommend getting the proper vaccinations and hold travelers liable who opt out.

  • This is a very personal decision but we will never discourage it. Travel health insurance can be beneficial in times when your stateside insurance does not reach overseas. Should you have an emergency, it can save you thousands. Here is a resource to consider: https://www.allianztravelinsurance.com/. However, we recommend doing your own research to find the best plan!

Booking & accommodations

  • Each package includes accommodations, meals (number varies), activities, transports to activities, and excursions along with a Project Passport apparel kit. Kit includes select items from Project Passport merchandise relative to destination. See package details for each retreat for specifics.

    FLIGHTS ARE TYPICALLY NOT INCLUDED.

  • Booking prices may increase as we get closer to the travel dates to match current market rates. Additionally, prices might rise if Wellody by Project Passport LLC makes changes or upgrades to accommodations.

If you have already made a reservation, your current booking will not be affected by these price changes.

  • Rest assured, we ensure that all accommodations are top-notch. We only select luxury options that we ourselves would stay in. Our standard is 4-5 star resorts and hotels in popular, safe tourist areas. In some cases, we may book high-end properties with multiple rooms for added comfort. Occasionally, you might stay in less touristy areas, but these will be thoroughly vetted for safety through our partner communications and company assessments. Prices are reflective of these high-quality accommodations, and all rooms will be non-smoking.

  • Absolutely! Each person will need to book separately to manage individual payments. However, if you email us at wellody@project-passport.com and let us know that you'd like to room together, we’ll ensure that your accommodations are arranged accordingly for you and your travel companions depending on the availability for that experience.

  • Suggested flight times will be provided in your registration paperwork. We recommend booking your flight at least 3 months in advance and emailing us your flight details at least 30 days before your travel date.

  • We like to keep our retreats small to foster meaningful connections within the group. Typically, retreats accommodate 6-14 people, allowing us to create an intimate and engaging experience while still being exciting. The exact number may vary slightly from retreat to retreat.

Bookings typically close when spot limit is reached our about 120-150 days until travel depending on the retreat.

  • The retreats will typically close at around 150 days until travel (unless otherwise stated). If the spots are full prior to travel, you have the option to join the standby list. Please contact us to be put on the standby list. We will alert you immediately if last minute cancellations occur.

deposits & payments

  • We will accept payments via the Square platform as it takes most major cards. We will set you up a custom invoice upon booking and then you will have the opportunity to pay in a plan available for that booking or to pay in full. Please review the terms for each retreat as they have their own.

Payment plans are typically 2 or 4 equal payments spread out leading up to the travel date (depending on the package).

  • We require a 20% deposit for every booking to be confirmed, and then the remaining balance of 80% is typically paid in 2 or 4 broken-up payments, depending on the package, or can be paid in full. Deposits are typically non-refundable within 180 days of travel unless indicated otherwise.

  • Deposits are fully refundable within 2 days of booking and no longer refundable after the 48 hour period. Please consider this when booking as many accommodations are made well in advance to support your travel experience. You can transfer the deposit to another travel to "assume" your spot with approval if needed.

  • Yes! Reach out to us at wellody@project-passport.com.

Cancellations & insurance

  • Each retreat has its own cancellation deadlines. Usually deposits are refundable up to 48 hours from booking (payment of the deposit). When it comes balance due dates, they will be provided upon your initial interest sign up.

Typically the full price of travel will be due within 3 months of travel (90 days) and the package will be non-refundable from that point on.

However, if you cancel prior to 30-60 days in advance, depending on the specific retreat, you will be eligible for a partial refund (50%).

See next point on travel insurance.

  • Absolutely! In the case that life is so unpredictable as we all well know, it can save you time, energy, and money. Because our packages are so intricately booked, we have tight policies on cancellations and we appreciate your understanding in advance.
